a little state of the union for y’all: I know….we need to have an event. I am starting a new job on the 30th and am completely swamped through the first week of october. So sorry if I’m absolutely ghosting you. I am, at a glacial pace, crafting a saloon cocktail evening for us (need a location….and maybe a bev sponsor? hit me up if you’re interested) to all meet irl. low-lift, just chatting and sipping cocktails.
otherwise, a reminder that I’m receiving intel left and right that y’all are getting connected to land jobs, create events, book gigs, and connect with people at your dream companies! I know so far our members have landed things at Margot, allover apparel, been connected at places like Ralph Lauren, Vogue, randomly found out in the chat one of our members actually painted something for my cousin and her husband in LA….it’s a small world. i’ve so been enjoying all my little coffee dates with saloon members. it’s such a creative and inspiring group!!
remember to let me know if you had a saloon success! we’re all here to champion your success, give it a little publicity, and get you connected with the people you need/want to be connected with. ok back to programming:

about the partner: treadwell
& Tread Well is all about Natural. Effortless. Skincare. Sisters and founders, Emily and Claire, designed 7 plant-based skincare/self-care products to promote healthy skin and allow you to trust what’s going on your body — you can rest easy here with the power of plant-based ingredients. A fan favorite is their Body Oil. A lightweight, non-greasy formula that absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling silky smooth.
They recently dropped Alpine, a 100% natural fragrance—this perfect blend of warm, woody and earthy notes captures the essence of fresh mountain air and a cedarwood cabin. Crafted with only the finest natural essential oils, so you can trust what’s going on your body. Here’s a little treat from the Hudson Valley to you: use code SALOON10 for 10% off site-wide for all community members.
saloon bulletin:
saloon member
got a write up in Elle this week for her new book Slowing. Read her interview with Lauren Puckett-Pope: Why Does ‘Slow Living’ Seem So Impossible?saloon members Chloe and Claire Lee of Selleb were interviewed on the
podcast. You can listen below:
member spotlight: danika daly
Danika Daly is the founder of her own creative communications agency, Danika Daly PR, which she started 13 years ago. They manage PR, influencer marketing, activations/events, and brand partnerships. She started out in the luxury space with brands like Worth Avenue (working with Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Rene Caovilla) and Palm Beach Polo, and then started an agency to work with brands across various lifestyle categories such as Núnoo, Réalisation Par, Baude, and American Express. Right now they’re working on some really fun activations, like a food tour in the Bay area for a client celebrating their 85th anniversary, hosting a delicious influencer dinner with chef Tony Ortiz and some NY Fashion Week activations! They’re also working on holiday campaigns getting their clients placed in gift guides and prepping holiday influencer campaigns and UGC. (Shameless plug: if you don’t have your holiday strategy moving yet, shoot me a message!)
something you read/saw recently you enjoyed: I watched The Gentlemen (the series) recently, and I loved it! It’s a witty, charming, quirky action crime drama.
last thing you bought irl: Blue Star Doughnuts
life hack: If you bought something and it breaks (even if it’s outside of the return timeframe), send a very nice email to the support team and they will almost always send you a replacement part or a full replacement. The real life hack here is to get into the habit of asking for what you want, and don’t be afraid to ask.
you couldn’t have your career without: Support. Support from my awesome team, and also moral support from my husband, friends, and family. Running a company isn’t always easy, and support from others really helps me push through the tough days.
advice for someone who wants to be where you are/do what you do: Network! When I started my agency, I was also freelance writing and working on Fashion Week teams to meet people. Freelance writing got me into a lot of doors that I wouldn’t have gotten into as quickly.
three brands/pubs/people to follow:
- @nunoobags: they’re the ultimate cool-girl brand out of Copenhagen. They’re one of my clients.
- @baudeny: Another client who’s making fragrance-forward body care that’s maximalist and edgy and the scent accord is scientifically proven to boost your mood and creativity. I love their TikTok!
- @drinkkace: I love their approach to building their brand. It’s Gen-Z coded in the best way.
