state of the saloon
uhhh yeah sorry this is coming to you at like 10pm on a Monday—it turns out a one-woman show is hard! so now i’m asking you to sign up for a paid subscription so I can pay someone to help me get this to you on time and continue thoughtfully expanding our network, so this does not sink into the ether because I’m too busy writing black friday gifting content for it to survive. <3 also the saloon paid subscription is purely endless benefits/friendships/exclusive event invites/kind and creative people eating farmer’s market carrots and drinking champagne and getting to know one another (or it was on Saturday anyway).
some very cool new members are audio producer Alexis Haut, music genius
, writer Sam Falb, and Mia Fazio of Overeasy PR.this week our members are looking for:
contacts at big rock candy mountaineering & keen
wondering if anyone has any strong recommendations for performance marketing agencies in NYC (or USA generally)?
spaces to host a culinary creatives meetup either at a place as a collab or for rent? would be for around 40 people, standing with a grazing table
small brands doing custom monogramming
if that’s you, or someone you know—comment, or get in touch juliafharrison@gmail.com!
saloon bulletin:
had the best time at saloon member Carli Gordon’s The Libi Project’s wine event on Saturday with Community Wines in Chelsea. Carli teamed up with Lucia of Studio Roza to create an absolutely delicious food aspect alongside our nebbiolos and our long-winded descriptions of how they made us feel and think. attended by multiple other saloon members and drafted a few more while we were there!
olivia of community wines leading our discussion & a delicious spread by lucia was thrilled to include saloon member Shannon Maldonado (of Yowie fame) in a piece for AD on tastemakers’ holiday gift guides. she’s in good company, with the likes of jake arnold, jenni kayne, brigette romanek, etc.
Kate Feigles wrote a really amazing piece about LA for her journal on interiors, Objective. you can read here.
saloon member Jane Kate Wong, founder of NOON, is releasing her new line of functional mushroom gummies this week! (I am personally obsessed with the “chill” and “sleep” which both do literally make me chill and sleep.) saloon members can receive 15% off using the code behind our paywall!
