state of the saloon
for some reason, Thursday, November 21 is the biggest day of the year for every industry on earth. you will find in our events section a plethora of events hosted by (or at least arranged by) saloon members: the grand opening of Sake Bar Asoko, the zine release party for Pairing Project, a pop-up for Autumn Sonata at Bomi, and a holiday party for Dart Collective. pick your poison! I will be out of town and will harass you for photos! we’ve added some exceptional members this week I’m really excited about, including writer and florist Laura Charney, style icon Rayna Starr, chef & co-founder of Milasburg, Hugo Heinz, writer and consultant Gemma Lacey, and interior designer Brad Thornton.

congrats to saloon member Rachael Petach, founder of C. Cassis on an amazing event upstate with Westerly Canteen! a few saloon members met up at Cassis headquarters in Rhinebeck for a buffet-style dinner of london broil, braised cabbage, some kind of squash that rocked but I forgot the name of. here’s Rachael pouring us a new Cassis release. I took really bad pictures but that did not keep me from posting to socials. (follow Cassis Instagram for a very exciting event this Thursday…maybe in Williamsburg…maybe at a very cool club….maybe saloon members are invited….)
