state of the saloon
i’ll begin by saying we are sending love (and money!) to California, and have been thinking of our members, but also all those affected by the fires this past week.
has put together this really thoughtful list of GoFundMe’s to donate to. if you have places to add, I’ll be happy to add those to this newsletter moving forward, so we can use this as a reference. shared this google doc with us for donating to displaced black families & also recommended this page:the delay in sending this saloon out has only been half-intentional, as we’re going to switch to a bi-monthly model instead of a weekly, which means we’ll be getting slightly more specific with our opps to highlight those which might be most applicable to our members.
we are welcoming lots of new members: Halie Bonfiglio from Caraway Home, Rose Harris, events associate at The Brand Guild, Anais Cooper Hackman, programming and partnerships Director at Ray, Madison Kennedy, who works in culinary and event production, Anne Kirk, a senior designer and art director at ReBag, Lily Smith at JLS, Patrick William Jordan at Buzzfeed, visual & motion designer Nina Bishop (also owner of Shop Reverie!), and brand strategist Laurel Pilson. pHEW! keep the nominations coming, i live and breathe nominations!!!
