state of the saloon

this is late, sorry! life is crazy! and we are always expanding and I need help! so I’m looking for some (atm) volunteer staff to join us for this next push towards a very saloon 2025. these volunteer positions each require 5 hours/week, and we’ll have bi-monthly team meetings to chat and hang and build our little empire.

  • Visuals/design coordinator: This is someone with an eye for design, an understanding of saloon’s existing aesthetics with ideas for how we can streamline and expand into a more solidified branding strategy, with a consistent visual identity and appeal. You’d be working with the socials coordinator to craft engaging, informative, appealing visuals for each of our newsletter drops, partnership announcements, and additional material we’d like to cover. You’ll also help design forthcoming merch!

  • Socials coordinator: You’re tapped into the saloon community, what they’re doing, who’s collaborating, keeping track of all the amazing things our members are up to via socials. You’ll work with the visuals coordinator to create a brand identity on our page, as well as post stories and feed posts 3-5 days/week.

  • Partnerships/event coordinator: You’ll be our partnerships scout—locating brands, personalities, and businesses that might be interested in advertising in our newsletter, or collaborating at a larger scale. You’ll help ideate, organize, and carry out events from their genesis to their execution.

  • saloon scout: You have a strong understanding of saloon’s existing community, as well as who we’re missing, who might be interested, and who has to be in saloon. You’re tapped into the general zeitgeist, and can locate brands/individuals who could both benefit from and contribute to saloon.

this month, our members are seeking:

  • contacts at Etsy, Hello Sunshine, NYLON, Saie, Pierre Trudon, Cultured Mag, Violet Grey, and Book of the Month

  • connects with people at the following bookstores/cafes, that I could reach out to about an event? - Albertine, Biblioteque, Corner Book Store, Dashwood

  • female holistic doctor or hormone health specialist in NYC

  • a space to host an olive oil tasting

  • New Orleans recs

if that’s you, join our paid tier and get connected!
