It’s been too long since our last event so I threw together a reading at Anaïs on Feb. 4 from 7pm with three of my favorite writers: Catherine Shannon, Chloe Pingeon, and Sam Falb. If you’re unfamiliar with their work: it’s funny, devastating, sharp, inquisitive, stays with you for a very long time afterward. I’ve seen Ethan Hawke at Anaïs three times so maybe he’ll be there. A lot of great textiles this week in new exhibitions from Alex Bass / Salon 21’s Woven to Amelie du Chalard’s Past, Present, Future. Was particularly enamored with Emily Payne’s work.
I am veryyyy addicted to Saint on W 29th street, a set of four private saunas in Chelsea designed by Bond Studio with a head-to-toe FRAMA catalog—everything from their furniture to their bath products. The concept of a private sauna is working for me—I want to be naked in the sauna, I don’t want to be in workout wear at the Dodge Y smelling stranger’s pits, but idk maybe I’m getting to be out of touch. One-hour sessions start at $90. I’ve been twice and I will be going again.
All the girls at work are saying this leather scarf from Pien Studios is ugly but I like it :(
