I launched a shopping dispatch for our saloon universe because I find so many amazing brands and creators through saloon. I also shop for a living at AD, where a lot of the things I find and love aren’t AD-appropriate (see: clothes).
This is a work plug but I’m writing a newsletter for AD called Interior Monologue, which is basically a mind-meld from our shopping team on who and what we’re obsessed with. You can finally actually sign up for it (here). Very cool Q&A coming out with our cover star this week….
I got drinks this week with my friend Evie (of Ware Your Snacks fame) and Ivy, the founder of Friend In Store, an app that gathers stores throughout New York and details their programming. I’m sold. Looks awesome. If you’re a store, you should be on it, it’s effectively just free publicity for your store and its programming.
I think this top from KOTN is the top of my summer. Also this is the shoe.
Autumn Sonata is giving out a free bath mat with a set purchase.
A trip to Outline this weekend put me onto Je Refuse, a brand making Murano beads into bolo ties…the merging of worlds…
Emily Manges slid into my inbox last week to intro Aura Check, which she calls “a text-based ritual hotline for tender brains.” You can text the hotline for measured and grounding reminders and responses, or you can set up tiny daily anchors (like custom morning affirmations, etc). It’s currently in a small, invite-only beta for thoughtful testers who want to help shape the early product. Those seeking a textable life coach can sign up for the beta here.
There’s just two spots left to Emmy Eats sauce-off this Saturday (March 14), where four chefs are using Brightland olive oil to whip something up for three special judges (namely Abena Anim-Somuah and coolstuff.nyc). RSVP here.
C. Cassis is hosting a Women In Climate event with a tasting and a lecture on sustainable sourcing and circularity on March 10. Just 14 spots left! RSVP here.
Loved seeing OG saloon member Arianna Cho on Cultured this week shopping her favorite Japanese stores.
