SALOON IS ON HIATUS NEXT WEEK! I’m going to Ireland and want no drama. Back on April 19 <3

  • Thinking a lot about this crochet veil, the Brazilian drama Manas, mobiles, mobiles, and mobiles.

  • Saw Balaclava at Berlin this weekend. Trash rock in ski masks. Aptly called a “sound performance” by my friend Bonnie. Crowd-surfing obviously, moshing, obviously. Spent a lot of that show observing the pixie shag blonde in front of me who was wearing a spike collar and drinking beer with a straw.

  • I knowwww you want to join the Chess Club at Bufón.

  • My favorite skincare brand, Bonjout, released their second product this week, La Cream. Celebration was at Amelie du Chalard and looked perfect. If you need PR done right, email my friend Olivia Leachman.

  • Climax Books is hosting a costume release party in the middle of a Saturday for Petra Collins’ new book. In their words: “This book is a cinematic journey of the performers as seen through the eyes of their fans and stalkers, images of performances, rescues, and confrontations, interspersed with letters, conversations, and diary entries.” Sure to hit every 24 year-old’s coffee table in the East Village, and I say that with respect to them. April 18, 2-4pm.

  • I have a lot of shopping recs this week.

    • Getting into this particular scent from Lore which smells both propositional and mysterious. It’s $92 for a proper 50mL. I’m rotating between that and Nonfiction’s For Rest, which is obviously going viral somewhere because it’s sold out most everywhere.

    • My party scarf arrived this week, as did my Sezane boots.

    • Getting into art deco jewelry from Jakob Bengel (here and here). Kind of museum gift shop, kind of Outline-coded.

    • Bought this fabric belt, which conceptually sounds so horrid but it’s Japanese so actually it’s cool and perfect.

    • I found this hat that says, confidently, JAM OUT WITH YOUR CLAM OUT. Didn’t buy it. Too scared to be perceived.

    • IT’S FLIP FLOP SEASON. I’M GOING PINK JELLY!!!

    • Sent it on this shirt from Sandro. I find it overwhelmingly perfect I think especially because it’s a little bit ugly. Fabric IRL is, in three words: silky crochet nip-forward.
