  • MUJI is hosting saloon at its new store in Queens: Get an exclusive preview of the new store before opening day, enjoy 20% off your purchase, and experience a traditional Japanese sake barrel ceremony. Thursday, June 11. 5–7 PM. RSVP here by June 4 and notate saloon as your host. 133-36 37th Ave, Unit G11, Flushing, NY 11354. I said see you at Muji in the sub-head but I will actually be OOT, so take pictures for me.

  • Pitch me your best features for AD: julia_harrison@condenast.com. Throw me a HED/DEK, one para on your pitch, and give it a strong shoppy angle. Interior Monologue is good inspo for what I’m looking for. I love u but I can’t do much with an email that says you’d love to write for me without any ideas bc I can’t pitch you as an entity to my editors—I have to pitch your ideas + you!!

  • I made a list of everything worth buying at the Shopbop sale (EXTRA25 making it finally affordable) since so much of it is like random Farm Rio garbage. Eyes on this Rowing Blazers sweater for like $60, this Carolina K dress that resolves every wedding guest dress crisis you were going to have, a Proenza Schouler shearling bag that is basically a calf hair bolster pillow, a cunty golf bag from Tory Burch, the remaining two St. Agni basketweave totes, this very perfect all-summer necklace, these AGOLDE jeans that are miraculously still available in every size and these workwear pants, which are not. None of the on-sale Leset was speaking to me <////3 what a betrayal.

  • My friend Maggie put me onto the Pottery Fair this weekend in Park Slope and I scored my most important possession as well as about a dozen business cards.

  • SOUR CHERRIES WAS SO GOOD THIS WEEKEND! Go out of your way next time to score that froyoooo

  • Erica Bonelli of Philo hosted an event at Wild Cherry last month that was primarily staffed by saloon connects: Molly Cox (Saint Agnes Studio) on florals, Marta Denny was her PA, and she found Sara for illustrations through a saloon connect.

  • You can expect something on paper sconces from me in the near future. This panel lamp by Serbian designer Ana Kraš of Teget is made from silk, paper, and aluminum, currently showing at Emma Scully Gallery. Very seriously embarrasses the pleated shade sconces we all bought last year.

  • These Calla lily-esque earrings (“Wasp in the fig,” she calls them) from Paris-based Jade Nguyen Van may soon replace my beloved Sisi Joias.

  • “What started as a book of revelations became, in its own right, a cookbook too,” says Apartamento about its newest publication: Bar Brutal x Apartamento: A Cookbook of Revelations. Apartamento’s newest book documents the life of the iconic Barcelona bar on Carrer de la Princesa through 80+ voices. Fans of this Barcelona bar or a good-looking coffee table can pre-order here.

  • One more Barcelona cookbook and then I’ll stop: Off Menu Mag’s Fiesta — A Collection of Spanish Recipes. This is Off Menu’s first book: nine kitchens, nine dishes from across Barcelona, produced alongside Shanghai fashion brand Short Sentence’s summer capsule. Three chapters (The Classics, A New Take, From the Sea), each with an editor-chef conversation. Pre-order open now, local pickup in New York (Sophie Chen, you’ll be hearing from me) and Barcelona.
