This letter is late because I’ve been watching Love Island….yk I love to complain about how much stuff I have to do between two jobs tiny violin etc but I am pathologically addicted. Anyway below we have some exciting opps from places I love and support with my whole heart: namely Olmo in Bed-Stuy, Figlia, my friend Talya’s Water Cooler Collective, The Cutting Room Floor, etc. behind the paywall. In other news:

  • TO BE CLEAR and sorry if I’ve not made this obvious: if you need a discount to become a paid subscriber and access behind the paywall, email howdy@sal00n.com. I do not live in the delusion that everyone has $25/month to spend on a newsletter; I live in the delusion that enough people do to make this feasible for people who don’t.

  • Loved this article on The Cut by Cathy Horyn on how luxury has lost the plot. Saying the quiet part out loud.

  • This on Christophe de Menil (Annie Armstrong) was also good—far more chilling.

  • I just got put on to Britt Liberg by Carmen Amsterdam and it’s exactly as freaky as clothes should be getting while still being wearable and worth their price point. Bravaaaaa

  • saloon’s Maija Ariele Fiedelholtz talked to Bustle about dating post-Knicks win.

  • I’m going to Bloom Farm in August for a writing retreat. You can too! It is literally free! While you’re at your apps, send one over to Salmon Creek Arts.

  • Aeyde sale busting up my paycheck. SSENSE dropped the price on these, too, which are the season-transitional heel I’m always wishing for when assembling a wedding guest fit

  • The glass flowers are non-stop recently. Here’s a favorite from Pia Glassworks on The Oblist and Soffieria Parise on Moda Operandi. Here’s some that are on the way to my house as we speak (and more in the cart).

  • Speaking of glass flowers, I loved my recent visit to Fugue Gallery in Nolita a couple weeks ago. They have mobiles by Ian Scott (@localromance) and glass flowers from Alex Rosenbaum on the windowsills.

  • Last but not least the new feeble little horse album is activating something veryyyy creative within me. Maybe it will help you also.
