eight great jobs for the editorial-minded from YOLO to Yahoo, plus two readings, and a call for DJs, sound artists, and aspiring talk show hosts
Kate Collins and I are starting a teeny tiny group chat for exchanging articles. We want to read more and news aggregators have no taste. We’re taking applications because we’re taking this VERY SERIOUSLY! And want everyone to be truly participatory. You can apply here.
I spent a long weekend in Turks and Caicos with my pregnant sister at our first-ever resort, Wymara. We both felt it sort of a hilarious situation for two girls whose family was deeply opposed to things like: resorts, luxury family vacations, traveling to the Caribbean, anything beloved by wealthy white people. But we had an amazing time, hopping from pool to ocean to pool to ceviche break and back to ocean. It’s a four-hour flight from New York to T&C if you’re craving a beach vacay, just saying. I have it on zero authority I could get you a cut rate, but we can always try……

journaling with moon lists, the villa's sea view, and the fattest grossest oysters in the world You could make art on a Canadian island in its godforsaken season (complimentary).
I interviewed Louise Pierce and Emily Ward about their new West Elm collection. They are so cool….collection includes the loveseat of my dreams in a pink and green stripe that Emily and Louise both called “neutral,” plus this antique coverlet, these striped circle pillows (purchased), the first good-looking shower curtain I’ve seen since the genesis of Autumn Sonata, and beautiful silverware that’s kind of Civil War-ish.
I loved this from Olivia on how to stock your kitchen.
