about the partner: otherworldly
is a community-driven, POC-founded brand dedicated to redefining spirituality for the modern seeker. More than just a lifestyle, OTHERWORLDLY promotes "Spiritual Functionality"—the integration of spiritual practice into everyday life with balance and authenticity. Born from a desire to modernize astrology, OTHERWORLDLY blends ancient wisdom with fashion, beauty, health, and aesthetics, bridging the gap between the spiritual and the material. Through well-researched insights, lifestyle guidance, and curated wellness recommendations, OTHERWORLDLY empowers you to deepen your connection with yourself and the universe.member spotlight: nora henick
Henick is a digital strategist based in Brooklyn who spends way too much time on eBay shopping and curating her newsletter that finds you the best vintage and secondhand items from the best corner of the internet, Thanks It's From eBay. When I'm not on eBay, I'm making homemade pasta, trying to whip up a replica of the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, or attempting to bake croissants.
something you read/saw recently you enjoyed: Basic Instinct—I've been on a Sharon Stone movie marathon
last thing you bought irl: Laundry detergent
life hack: Go outside whenever you can
you couldn’t have your career without: My friends and family's support
advice for someone who wants to be where you are/do what you do: If you care about it, do it. People will have opinions on everything, but if it brings you joy and doesn't hurt people in the process, do it. Also, you don't always have to have a dream job. It's okay to look for a job that values you as a human and provides you the time and money to experience and explore your dreams elsewhere. I work a full-time job (my Substack is one of many things I do in my spare time) where most of my coworkers regularly ask me what I'm baking, how my Substack is doing, and when my next vacation is. I feel very thankful to have found that -- it's definitely reshaped a lot of my views on "dream" jobs and career ambitions.
